AM5 motherboard deals
AM5 is AMD's current desktop socket, launched in September 2022 with the Ryzen 7000 series and carried on through Ryzen 8000G and Ryzen 9000. It is an LGA design, with the 1,718 pins in the socket rather than on the processor, it takes DDR5 memory only, and it brought PCIe 5.0 to AMD desktops. AMD has committed to supporting the socket until at least 2027, so a board bought today should take a later CPU after a BIOS update. Most AM4 coolers fit.
